Welcome to my humble blog. From the moment I learned about interventional radiology as an early 4th year medical student, I became crazy about this field. Many years later, my passion for interventional radiology continues to grow.
Despite how awesome IR is, there are many aspects of it that frustrate me. That frustration led me to writing. I figure if I’m going to do a poor job of making journal entires, I might as well share! I am starting this blog to highlight my path, my current practice and the efforts I am making on the ground to help change the culture and narrative when it comes to Interventional Radiology.
The experiences and opinions you will read about here are mine. They most certainly do not reflect the views of my employer, colleagues or health care system in which I work. They are definitely not personalized medical advice. I will absolutely discuss things which you may disagree with. I’ll probably make you really upset at times. That’s fine. In fact, I hope we can spark a lively (but please, friendly) debate as this blog continues to evolve. For the time being, I choose to remain anonymous.
I really have no idea exactly what I’m doing with this thing, but that’s the beauty of it. Part of this blog will be purely educational. I’ll discuss my experiences starting new service lines in my hospital. All that stuff they didn’t teach you in radiology school. I got that. I’m great at complaining. You’ll hear some of that. I also love giving unsolicited financial and life advice. You’re welcome.
My goal is to publish one blog post a week. Stick with me. We’re just getting started.
